Pixel Forest is an exhibit of the work of Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist. Occupying the three main floors of the New Museum, it presents an important retrospective of the innovative work of one of the pioneers in the fields of video art and multimedia installation.
The exhibit is a journey through wild forests of videos, with a sweeping fusion of lights, images and music.
Under the curatorship of Massimiliano Gioni, artistic director of the museum, Pixel Forest offers a colorful, immersive environment where the public finds comfortable seats, large cushions, and even full size beds. This relaxing artistic vision leaves you with the feeling of having come into contact with a unique perspective on the world.
